A few more of my laces

The first piece would make a nice lace necklace or it could be added to the bottom of an altered art picture.

 

The last picture when I sold these the girls who bought them, bought them for lace earrings.

English Teacups

I am always on the look out for English teacups. I really like the pink and blue ones.

The first one is a mix and match set still quite lovely. The cup is pink on the inside with lots of flowers. The saucer is pink and white.

The second one is pink on the outside with flowers on the inside.

The third is white with pale blue flowers.

I have a nice collection of English teacups so as I gather more I decide which to keep and which to share on Etsy.

Chicken Pedestal Dish

I want to share with you today this chicken pedestal dish I put together. I found the chicken top with no bottom and brought it home added a soup mug and a saucer. I think it makes a sweet pedestal dish.

New lace packages that I make

This is a couple of pictures of lace applique packs that I am starting to list on my shop Country Cottage Friend Etsy .com  

I have been making and selling laces since 2008 but I closed the shop for the summer to spend more time with my Granddaughter. I have just now started relisting items. I had planned on waiting for the first of the year but since I had enough lace to get started now I couldn't give myself a good reason to wait.

Heirloom Lace Memory Album

 

 

This is my newest creation. A Heirloom lace memory album.

This is the front cover. I added an embroidered piece that I did that says

If I could give you one thing in life,
I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes,
Only then would you realize how special you are to me.

I then added lace and little fabric flowers around it. The outside edge has Venice lace trim.

This is the first page of 6 on the inside. (my camera for some reason has turned it sideways)
It has a pocket you can add photos or anything you would like to remember in the pocket. There is scalloped lace on the top and bottom of the page and more Venice lace on it's edge. I also added a lace applique that I made to the top of the pocket with 2 tan pearl buttons on it's edges. I added 3 more lace appliques that I made and pretties in their centers.

This is the second page. I have added a doily as a pocket then put one of the lace appliques I make on it's flap with a tan button on it. At the top I added a double lace flower I made with a crystal as it's center. In the other top corner I added a heart lace applique that I made and added a tan pearl button to it. It also has scalloped edge lace on the top and bottom of the page. Along the outside edge is also a scalloped edge lace.

This is page 3 and 4 the center of the book. As with all the pages there is scalloped lace on the top and bottom of the pages. I added a pretty heart scalloped lace on the page edges of both. The third page has a pocket made of lace that is the same heart scallop. I added one of my lace applique to it and also a gold pearl button. To the side of the pocket I added a lace heart and 2 lace paisleys that I made. They each have a crystal.

Page 4 has another large lace pocket for you treasures. I added a lace trim to it's top and one to the bottom and then another lace applique with a tan pearl button. I also added a gold lace applique paisley with a ivory button I made. And a flower lace applique with a gold and pearl button for it center.

Now page 5 and 6. Number 5 has another doily I used as a pocket then added a tan lace applique that I made with 2 teal blue buttons. There are 4 flower lace appliques with crystal centers in the corners. In the top center is another lace applique. The page edge has a scalloped edge lace.

Page 6 has a lace pocket with another lace applique I made with 2 pearl buttons. on the bottom of the pocket I added 2 tan buttons. There are 2 lace flower appliques with crystals in opposite corners. Plus 2 more lace appliques with buttons. It has Venice lace edging for it's outside flap.

This is the back page and the spine.

On the back page I have added a pink and green lace applique that I made. The colors go with the embroidery on the front cover. The lace on the edge of the page is Venice lace.

The spine has 3 rows of ivory gimp to give it stability. On the top and bottom edge I added 2 flower lace appliques and on the spine itself I added one of my large lace appliques.

The front and back cover, as is every page has multiple layers of lace to the pages. Most of the lace yardage comes from a vintage lace shop close to my house that a sweet older lady runs. I love buying from her. I make all the embroidery and the lace appliques. The buttons and gimp also come from the vintage lace shop.
